Our Work

Three decades of workflow, document management, and integration projects — a few of the engagements we're proudest of.

3M — Global Workflow Engine & MICAW

2014 – 2021

3M needed to modernize a legacy workflow engine used to manage global SAP material setup, without disrupting live manufacturing operations.

  • Architected and built the Global Workflow Engine, a reusable framework that replaced the legacy engine and now powers multiple enterprise applications.
  • Designed and developed the MICAW family of applications (EMEA, Global, and Next), standardizing legacy SKU and SAP material setup across international business units.
  • Delivered six-plus years of continuous development, design documentation, and daily production support for mission-critical systems used across global operations.

Result: Consolidated three separate workflows into one standardized, SAP-compliant system used worldwide, reducing process complexity.

3M — Manufacturing Document Management

2006 – 2012

3M's enterprise-scale document management system, used at manufacturing plants worldwide, needed upgrades, support, and plant migrations without downtime.

  • Led design and implementation for a major plant upgrade in Springfield, Missouri.
  • Led server migrations for both domestic and international manufacturing plants.
  • Built new tools for managing and designing document management templates.

Result: Reduced the upgrade backlog by 50% across U.S. and international sites.

Fiduciary Counselling Inc. — Paper to Digital Workflow

2012 – 2014

This wealth management firm needed to move paper-based financial processes — cash movements, account transitions, investment policies, trust onboarding — onto reliable software.

  • Designed and built five custom workflow applications: an integrated cashiering platform, an account streamlining tracker, an investment policy publishing system, a stock transfer workflow, and a new trust onboarding tool.
  • Maintained and extended the firm's CRM, secure client communications portal, and business intranet.

Result: Gave the Tax, Trust, Accounting, and Charitable departments a reliable digital system in place of manual, paper-driven processes.

North Dakota Legislative Council — Statewide Document Management

1996 – 2009

This state legislative agency needed workflow-based document management — approval routing, version control, imaging, archiving — plus a way to get time-sensitive meeting materials to legislators and the public.

  • Analyzed requirements and led the recommendation, development, and rollout of a full document management system.
  • Designed a distribution system for legislative meeting notices, agendas, and minutes reaching legislators, constituents, and subscribers.
  • Provided 13 years of ongoing upgrades, integration, and support.

Result: A mission-critical government system still relied on after more than a decade in production.

Additional Engagements
